King Abdul Aziz Ibn Saud Essay

World history is full of outstanding leaders. One of them is King Abdul Aziz Ibn Saud. The full name is Abdulaziz ibn Abdul Rahman ibn Faisal ibn Turki ibn Abdullah ibn Muhammad Al Saud. This name belongs to one of the most famous people in the history of Saudi Arabia. This is the founder and the first monarch of the new kingdom. The man led a long and difficult struggle to restore the integrity of his homeland. The future king was born on January 15, 1876 in Riyard. The boy was not interested in religion at all and dreamed of great military campaigns. Since childhood, Abdulaziz wanted to restore the family honor of the house of the Saudis. At the age of 23, being quite young, the boy was able to win back the homelands of Riyard. In the world, the king is also known as a good reformer. The system of the armed forces created by him had no changes until the death of Abdulaziz (Wilson & Graham, 2016).

The breadth of the rights and powers of the monarch testified that it was entrusted to him the entire responsibility for the decisions made. In this regard, of particular importance is the problem of correlation in the actions of the monarch of the duties of the ruler and his personal qualities, character traits, aspirations and interests. It is noteworthy that the personal interests and values of the king coincided with the interests of the kingdom. Thus, the thoughts and feelings of the king were aimed at the development of the state.

The king was a inborn leader. Among his strongest qualities are a sense of responsibility, patronage, organizational skills, calmness, endurance, prudence and attention to detail. In addition, he is an excellent speaker, strategist and tactician who loves power and knows how to use it. The king could take responsibility for himself and distribute duties between others. The monarch had good intellectual abilities and high flexibility of thinking. According to the story, he returned to his family Riyard with the help of 60 people. According to Aristotle, courage may be viewed as a primary virtue since it allows all other virtues to emerge and to show themselves. A very important component is a deep sense of admiration and loyalty from the people around them. Having received respect, he could easily put his plans into action, and people quickly recognized his values (Citino, 2002). Leaders tend to be respected since they let their actions tell more about themselves rather than their words. Abdulaziz also possessed creativity, the desire for self-knowledge, constant self-improvement, integrity, determination and ambition. Only a good leader can unite large territories and create a strong state. Today, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is the richest country in the world, which has large reserves of oil. The country is the spiritual center of the Arab world and the Islamic religion. Here in 540 in the city of Medina was born the prophet Mohammed. In Saudi Arabia, everything begins and ends with religion. It is extremely heavily woven into the lifestyle and laws. The country professes one of the most stringent areas of Islam. King Abdulaziz founded an absolute monarchy in the kingdom (Lacey & Case, 2014). Until that time, all power in the state is concentrated in the hands of the descendants of the founder of the kingdom. I chose this person because of his unique will power and purposefulness. The Muslim world is known for its strength and cruelty, so it is extremely difficult to seize and maintain power in such a society. In addition, the king possessed qualities that are characteristic of an effective leader. Modern leadership theories offer a list of qualities that were inherent in a man.

Abdulaziz is a strong and responsible person who knows what he wants. That is what delights me in it. On September 23, 1932, he united Nedge and Hejaz into one state. It is no coincidence that this man was able to collect lands that were attractive to many other world leaders. I think that discipline and psychological maturity allowed a man to do something that was not possible for many other rulers. There are no perfect people or objects in the world: everyone has flaws. It is known that the predominance of one sphere of life over another leads to their unequal development.

Spending all the time on work, people do not leave a resource for a family. I think it happened with the king. He concentrated all his efforts on creating a strong state and could not transfer these values to his children. Abdulaziz led a very isolationist policy, shutting Saudi Arabia away from outsiders. After the death of the king, the power passed to his son named Saud, who could not competently dispose of the force concentrated in his hands. It led to a coup d’état. Another son of the king named Faisal was distinguished by a strong radicalism in the board. His style of leadership of the kingdom led to tragic consequences: he was shot by his own nephew.
