Academic history: Although I am from another country, I have had quite diverse educational experience in the United States. I have studied here for almost 3 years. The first year I came to the United States, I joined the Foreign Exchange Student Program. The first educational establishment that I have studied in was Judson High School in Texas. After obtaining my first experience, as well as becoming acquainted with American academic culture, I went to study in the Community College. I could not speak in English fluently at first. However, after joining the Exchange Student Program, I was able to steadily improve my skills as I was required to speak English all the time with multitude of native speakers.
Although I am not among the best students in my college, my performance is quite satisfactory. I can maintain my GPA at around 3.8. I am especially good at Economic, Business and History. As I am an active person, I like to hang around with my friends and sometimes, I would like to chat with the professors in Dean community college and discuss my future academic and career plans (for example, which universities are suitable for me or what major I should choose).
A situation have had a significant impact on me: When I was four, my grandmother passed away. Before she died, she asked me to make her a paper crane, so that she can go to heaven. I never made one before; it was too difficult to me to make a paper crane. I was so depressed because I failed. I was so disappointed with all my previous failures that I could hardly believe that I could succeed. And than suddenly, the moment I was ready to give up, I realized why my grandmother wanted me to make a paper crane. She knew that it wasn’t easy, and she knew that it would take a lot of time and effort to learn how to do it. But she also knew that if I don’t give up and make a paper crane for her I would learn a very important lesson in my life.
When I realized that I knew that I would never give in and finally I had made a beautiful paper crane. Thanks to that paper crane I’ve found out how hard learning could be but that in the end of the day it was all worth it. I consider it as one of the most valuable lessons in my life. Thanks to my grandmother I’ve also learned how important it is to care about another person and what it takes to take every effort to make a person you love and care about happy. I’ve learned the meaning of support within the family and between friends.
My academic aspirations: My primary academic interests are Economics, History and Management. Management is my first priority and Economics is the second one; history comes to the last. I would like to put management as my first choice because I want to manage my father’s company after graduation. Finding a decent job in contemporary business organization in not easy at all, if I don’t get any degree, I will not be able to get hired by the big businesses. It is mandatory to have higher level education in order to prove my qualification and to get the job I want.
I am well prepared to enter my major at this moment since I have been taken the business courses in Dean College.
Why you are applying to UW-Madison:

Besides, University of Wisconsin has a powerful support tools and methods to assist and develop its students. They can create an artificial commercial environment. Furthermore, University of Wisconsin has a huge cooperation network with the companies, so students can easily find the internship opportunity in the United States.
Experience Learning: I have worked as a clerk in 2004 summer holiday. It seems like working in the office only but that’s not true. It is a sundry duty. The range of my job duties had covered office job, cleaning and delivery. This job was really tough. Every time when I got done with my job, I was exhausted. To conclude, this experience reminded me if I don’t study hard, I would work for a life time in this way for earning a little money.
Additional Comment: Since I have visited your campus, I love it very much. Moreover, if I get into the campus, I will definitely make a contribution to your school. I may join the club committee in order to help the school operation. As I am a director of member service of AIBER in Dean, so, I would like to join the business club in University of Wisconsin in the future.
