Each and every academic year begins with humiliating and degrading rituals inflicted on the “novatos”. These “greeting ceremonies” are only called greeting: during these “initiation rites” students are supposed to learn the elementary laws of the community to which they belong. Humiliation and violence toward the new students explain why it is more practiced in the establishments where the Alumni Office is powerful and often determines a future career.

Within universities, these practices are less widespread. Although a few corporatist “traditions” remain, the student unions are able to restrict such activities and the growing number of students no longer allows a small group of individuals to claim legitimate power to impose a hazing session: they have neither the material capacity nor adequate tools for doing it: the penalty is the main engine of debasement.

Following heavy summer (or winter) rains come floods that wash gold-containing solid into streams and rivers. A gold miner knows how and where to look for it. However, after a couple of weeks, this can be covered with a thin layer of silt and seaweed, then gold mining becomes difficult.

So it is the hottest time for miners, not to lose time in vain. Main goal: to get more volume of rocks from the river and washed it out almost 24 hours a day, while you can. The goal is to get a small bag of gold dust, which settles to the bottom, as the heavy part of the solid. The work in cold water requires great effort, but miners are hot with great expectations.

Energy efficient house is a building in which low energy consumption is combined with a possibility to maintain certain microclimate. Energy efficiency of such a house can reach up to 90%. The annual demand for heating of an energy efficient house does not exceed 15 kWh per square meter. Total primary energy consumption is no more than 120 kWh per square meter per year.

To date, there is no single official international definition for energy efficient house. However, in Europe there are certain criteria allowing us to define a house as energy efficient.

The authorities of the northern Indian State of Uttarakhand reported that the total number of people missing after landslides and flood is 4083. However, this data is not yet final. The roll-call list made by the authorities contains 3991 Indians (including 1 thousand and 356 women and 421 children) and 92 citizen of Nepal. In neighboring Uttarakhand State of Uttar Pradesh, there are 1142 people missing.

“We are in the process of issuing death certificates to the families of missing persons. The necessary formalities will be completed within two weeks,” reported the local authorities. Earlier, it was reported about a thousand people found dead.

Battle of Stalingrad is the largest land battle in the history of mankind, which, along with the battle of Kursk, became a turning point in the Second World War, after which the German troops finally lost their strategic initiative.

As a result of the Soviet troops counterattack at Stalingrad 6th German fascist army and 4th Panzer army, the Romanian 3th and 4th armies and 8th Italian army were defeated.

During the battle of Stalingrad, lasted for 200 days and nights, the fascist block lost 25% of its applicable forces on the Soviet-German front at that time.
