Power System Protection Research Paper

Power system protection refers to the complex of the automatic devices intended for a rapid definition and disconnection from the electric power system the damaged elements of this electric power system in emergency situations with the purpose of ensuring normal functionality of the system.

Those writers who have chosen power system as a topic to write their research papers on have a wide domain for their activity and may be sure in the urgency of the subject. For better understanding of writing process, the college or university writer are welcomed to consult free sample research papers that can be used as a guide on the topic.

The functioning of the power system protection devices is organized on the principle of continuous estimation of the technical state of the separate controlled elements of the electric power systems. Power system protection carries out continuous control of the state of all elements of the electric power system and reacts in the case the system’s elements are damages or the system is working in an abnormal mode. In the case of damages, power system protection is to define the damaged elements and disconnect it from the system, operating the special power switches, intended for breaking of damaging currents (short circuit). Research Paper on Fears and Phobias

Fear is a reaction of the body to dangerous situations in society or a direct threat to life. The word “phobia” originates from Greek “phobos,” fear. Thus, from the linguistic point of view, fears and phobias are one and the same. But from the point of psychology, phobia only refers to fears that are irrational, uncontrolled, compulsive, inadequate to existent situation and is accompanied by vegetative dysfunctions (palpitation, abundant sweat, trembling, gastric disorders, etc.).

This means that if a fear comes often, becomes compulsive, uncontrolled, and the desire to avoid the cause, if there is no any, is greater, or it obstructs normal life and everyday activity of the person, then it is a phobia. A cause for phobia, as well as for any fear, is registered by organisms, and can be subsequently reproduced. It also is able to progress, and cover the contiguous (near) causes. This means that if you stop control a fear it will possibly grow into phobia phobias, and if you do not find the cause for that, your phobia will only deepen and become stronger.

Those of you who seek to prepare a good research paper on fears and phobias may be interested in using free sample research proposals on the topic, which can be used as I guide on the issue. Continue reading “Research Paper on Fears and Phobias”

Research Proposal on Sex Workers

Sex industry is an important sector of economy both for developing countries, where it is often the basic source of foreign currency and for industrial countries. Two basic subdivisions of sex industry are prostitution that includes the direct exchange of sexual services for money and other types of economic reward and pornography, including execution of the sexually-oriented tasks, sometimes with participation of two and more people, busy in the production of photos, films and video tapes various live performances in and night-clubs, except for direct sexual services paid by a client. Those who are about to write a research proposal on sex workers have to understand that there no clear distinction between prostitution and pornography, as sometimes sex workers usually having sexual intercourse for money, perform only the actions of erotic character or dance for private clients, and some sex workers, for example, a stripper and exotic dancer in the night-club, enters into sexual contact with a client after the performance.

Legal status of prostitution and pornography workers is varied in different countries from complete prohibition on the cycle of moneys from sex industry, as, for example, in the United States; and decriminalizations of cycle of moneys with prohibition on pornography in many European countries; to tolerant attitude toward an individual and organized prostitution, for example, in Netherlands and regulation of prostitution by the law on public health care and prohibition only to that part of sex industry that falls short of to the requirements of law, as in many Latin-Americans and Asian countries. Even in those countries, where a sex industry is legalized, the government remains ambivalent to the health of sex workers, and the attempts of imposing the norms of labour safety are rare. However, from the beginning of 1970s, prostitutes and performers of the erotic programs began to create organizations in order to call to the questions of their labour safety and try to reform the legal context of the work. Introduction
Adam
Hochschild’s “King Leopold’s Ghost: A Story of Greed, Terror, and Heroism in Colonial Africa” gives a brilliant and detailed account of the atrocities of slavery, human rights abuse, and exploitation in the Congo by the King Leopold of Belgium. While giving the reader a glimpse of the themes and characters to be explored in the book, Hochschild opts to show how Morel came to terms with the wanton abuse of human rights in the Congo. The author then focuses on the mind boggling statistics of mass murder perpetuated by Leopold’s greed. Hochschild makes the reader appreciate his analysis by alluding to his first hand experience of the ugly situation when he worked as a journalist in the Congo. One of the questions triggered in the minds of the reader is whether human nature is inherently good or evil. Indeed, the author succeeds in urging the reader to read further in order to understand fully what the Congolese went through in the hands of King Leopold.

Prologue
In the prologue, the author acknowledges that the story behind Leopold II dates back 500 years when the Europeans started looking for territories to conquer and gain wealth. In this case, Africa and Congo in particular was a perfect place to further Leopold’s ambitions and satisfy his greed. Previously, the Europeans had developed a misplaced image of Africa from the many stories they had heard. While some stories depicted Africa as a land of great wealth and mysterious inhabitants, early explorers were surprised to realize that they had to struggle through the unfriendly landscape. In addition, deadly diseases overwhelmed many explorers besides being horrified by aspects such as paganism, polygamy, cannibalism, and nakedness. Nonetheless, Congolese were also horrified by the brutality of the Europeans as Leopold introduced slave trade and forced labor. Not even Affonso I, the ruler of the Kongo Kingdom was spared by Leopold’s systemic slave trade. It is indisputable that though the Europeans saw Africa as a place where civilization was urgently needed, this was to come at a price due to the greed and cruelty of the colonial masters. Leopold was just propagating a colonial attitude and practice that had been in existence for many centuries before. Continue reading “Free Book Review Sample”

Global Change and Sustainability Research Proposal

The problem of global change and sustainability already a long ago went through the transformation from a number of the strictly specialized natural-science disciplines in the grade of one of the most sharp problems of the world economy and politics. Affecting global economy regardless of will of the certain states, it is perceived presently as a major issue of new reality to which certain countries and all humanity have to adjust their economic activity. Its different directions are cultivated by politicians, playing upon the conflict of interest, inevitably arising around any politicized problem, and also various con-artist from science, refuting the fact of climatic changes with coming of every cold winter or, vice versa, intimidating public with the beginning of new ice-age, cooling-down of Gulf-stream or new world flood. Asbestos Research Paper

Asbestos (from Greek. ????????, – indestructible) is the collective name for the group of fine-fibred minerals from the class of silicates. In the wild it is aggregates consisting of the thinnest flexible fibres. It is used in the most different areas, for example in building, motor industry and rocket production.

If use free sample research papers on asbestos you will know that the largest deposits of this mineral are in Canada, RSA, and in Russia. There are also deposits in the north of Kazakhstan, in China, USA, Brazil, Zimbabwe, Italy, France, Finland, in Japan, Australia, and in Cyprus.

On chemical composition, asbestos is a water silicate of magnesium, which theoretical composition is 3MgO?2SiO2?2H2O that in mass relation corresponds to 42,4% of MgO, 44,50% of SiO2, and 13,04% of H2O. As a rule, there always are admixtures of FeO and Fe2O3 in it, mass content of which rarely exceeds 2%, and besides, a part of FeO in asbestos isomorphically substitutes MgO, other part of iron is related to the mechanical admixture of magnetite, rarer chromite. Amount of other admixtures (Al2O3, Cr2O3, CaO, NiO, MnO, CuO and lyes) is negligible. At presence of admixtures amount of MgO and SiO2 in asbestos is usually lowered to 40% and less, mass content of constitutional water also fluctuates rising from 11,5-12,0 %to 14,5-15,0% and falling back.
